Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee keeps abreast, provides comments, and testifies on existing and proposed legislation, guidelines, policy concept papers, regulations, and other issues related to the water environment and conduct activities to promote better understanding of regional water pollution problems.

The Committee communicates and meets with EPA officials, the New England Congressional delegation and individual state legislators to foster an open line of communication.

The committee also informs the NEWEA membership of the latest developments and proposed changes in state and federal water pollution laws, guidelines, regulations, and programs.
