Flow Family Coloring Book*
Created by Papa Joe LaPlante, illustrated by Joseph S. LaPlante and sponsored by the Narragansett WPCA, the Flow Family is dedicated to educating children and adults on the many ways in which water touches everyone’s daily lives and explains that everyone’s efforts are needed to keep water flowing clean and resourceful.

Mr. & Mrs. Fish Program
Mr. & Mrs. Fish are marine educators. Their shows are designed for children ages 7-11, but people of all ages enjoy the Fish shows! For more information or to book a show, visit the Mr. & Mrs. Fish site.
The NEWEA Public Education Committee sponsors two Mr. & Mrs. Fish shows each year at the NEWEA conference in Boston. If you are with a public school or a non-profit in the Boston area and would like to bring a group to one of our shows, please contact the Public Education Committee Chair.
The committee also sells raffle tickets for a free Fish show each year between November and January. The winner receives a FREE show at the New England school of their choice. All proceeds support the Stockholm Jr. Water Prize.
Engineering Days for Schools
The fields of Civil/Environmental Engineering, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and environmental science are quickly growing, stable fields that offer excellent salaries and bonuses. Our members would be happy to speak to your High School classrooms for Career Day or Engineering Day and let them know the opportunities that are available.

Stockholm Junior Water Prize
A National and International Science Competition for High School Students, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize is the world’s most prestigious youth award for a water-related science project. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today’s high school students as they seek to address current and future water challenges.
Important dates: Submission for consideration at the State level by April 15th. State winners announced by May 1st each year. Must be chosen as a State winner to qualify for the National Competition.
