MassCEC Now Offering Funding for Innovation at Wastewater Treatment Plants

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is now seeking proposals for the piloting of innovative technologies at publicly owned wastewater treatment (WWT) districts or authorities in Massachusetts under the Wastewater Treatment Plant Innovative Technology Pilot Program. Applicant teams shall be comprised of one wastewater treatment district or authority as the lead applicant and at least one innovative water technology provider.

MassCEC asks that applications be submitted that aim to pilot an innovative water technology that will address one or more of the following areas:

  • increased energy efficiency;
  • resource recovery for potential reuse; and/or
  • the removal of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous.
