NEWEA Focused on Risk & Resiliency at its Utility Management Conference

NEWEA Utility Management Conference

NEWEA Utility Management Conference

The Utility Management Committee sponsored a one-day conference on Managing Risk & Resiliency in Marlborough, Massachusetts on April 26, 2016 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel.  The event was prompted by the natural disasters and malevolent events that seem to be ever present and increasing in our society today. Compounding these challenges is aging infrastructure and the need to do more with less. Considering these complex challenges, there was a recognized need to help our utilities in improving their risk management and resiliency.

Managing risk and resiliency is a management system that requires continuous improvement over time. It will be a topic that is addressed by NEWEA in future communiqués and events in support of our members taking action to minimize their risks and strengthen their continuity of operations.
