The NEWEA CSO/Wet Weather Committee is sponsoring a webinar to assist CSO communities in understanding these requirements, assessing possible impacts, and provide a variety of strategies for designing their own CSO notification programs. Our speakers will provide background information on current and proposed requirements in New England and nationally (including potential legislation in Massachusetts) and outline some key legal issues and practical challenges to consider, including immediate reporting and metering accuracy, public education of what the data means, potential liabilities and public perception, and potential erroneous report impacts.
