Jim Barsanti, NEWEA President and Assistant Director of Water and Wastewater for the Town of Framingham, met recently with the Worcester Polytechnic Institute student chapter of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. Jim is a WPI alumnus and was invited by the AAEES student chapter to discuss the Town of Framingham’s wastewater infrastructure, its historical development and challenges, and its current capital improvement program. He also discussed his career as a water professional and the benefits of professional society involvement. A bright and enthusiastic group of 20 students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, participated in the presentation and the question and answer session.
