U.S. Senator William “Mo” Cowan

Join us on Monday, January 26th at the Opening Session at the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Annual Conference & Exhibit for a discussion of the Massachusetts statewide election results, with a perspective from former Senator Mo Cowan, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ML Strategies and Of Counsel to Mintz Levin.

As of this month, the U.S. Congress has a very different look, which will have potentially significant impacts on Water, Wastewater, the Environment and Infrastructure industries throughout the country. Senator Cowan will address the effects of a changing Congress from both national and regional perspectives, as he considers impacts on regulation, legislation, and funding.

Senator Cowan returned to Mintz Levin in November 2013 following his tenure as interim U.S. Senator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a seat Governor Patrick appointed him to fill after it was vacated by Secretary of State John F. Kerry.  He previously served as Governor Patrick’s Chief Legal Counsel and, later, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor.  Prior to that, Senator Cowan was a Member in the Boston office of Mintz Levin where he represented a diverse array of commercial clients in business and regulatory matters.

Registration is required to attend the Conference and Opening Session. If you are not registered for the Conference you may find registration information here.
