Mike Bonomo, NEWEA Past President; ADS Environmental Services

Professionally, Michael Bonomo is a Sr. Account Manager for ADS Environmental Services and has 35 years of experience in the water industry.  Mike’s college years were spent in New York City where he earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University and his graduate degree from Pace University.

Mike has been an active member of NEWEA for many years serving as a committee chair and on the Executive Committee. During his tenure as NEWEA President, Mike emphasized several important initiatives including:  increasing public awareness of the water industry, enhancing the value of membership in NEWEA, and technical excellence. As Mike puts it, “Technical Excellence is one reason NEWEA is relevant, a leader, attracts and retains members, and is at the center of water environment issues in New England.
Mike championed NEWEA’s involvement with WEF’s Water’s Worth It campaign and supported NEWEA’s public outreach efforts encouraging NEWEA members to visit schools in their communities to spread the word on the importance of water. Mike notes that NEWEA enriches him in many ways, by its sense of purpose and stewardship, and also its spirit of fellowship, collaboration, and celebration. It’s no surprise that Mike is an avid sports and outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys boating, fishing, and nature’s beauty in his home state of Connecticut and during his “off time” in Vermont. He also keeps busy making a “joyful noise” as a member of a performing Fife and Drum Corps.  Thanks Mike for all you bring to the NEWEA family!
