Veterans TAP Program

NEWEA's Water Warriors Jobs Initiative invites Active-Duty Service Members and Veterans to attend Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at NEWEA's Annual Conference to learn about career opportunities in the water quality industry. All attendees will convene in the morning for a complimentary continental breakfast and presentation on careers in the water industry. Attendees will be then be guided through the conference by Veteran water professionals.

There is no cost to attend. A limited number of slots are available. Current water professionals not eligible; offer is only available to Active-Duty Service Members or Veterans. Only valid on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at NEWEA’s Annual Conference. Participants are responsible for any parking and meal fees.

The WEFTEC24 President's Reception will honor Howard Carter's (NEWEA's Past President) Upcoming WEF Presidency

With more than thirty years of experience, Howard Carter has dedicated his career to championing the work we do to protect the environment and human health. In October, he will begin his 2024-25 term as the Water Environment Federation (WEF) President.

Mentoring Program Meet-Up

Tackling Contaminants of Emerging Concern

The Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CEC) and Plant Operations Committees have joined forces to offer you a jam-packed one day conference will cover the latest in CEC research, regulations, and technologies—not to mention practical ways and encouragement for dealing with CECs in plant operations. The CECs of focus will be per- and polyflouroalkyl substances (PFAS). From the opening keynote by Tiffany Skogstrom, Director of the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance and Technology, the technical presentations and expanded Vendor Showcase, to the closing comments, you will gain information, insights and encouragement—to help your facility address PFAS in your part of the water cycle.
