In this member profile, we are highlighting Danielle DiRuzza, MWRA. Danielle is a new member of NEWEA and has jumped into her volunteer efforts head first. She first volunteered at the Annual Conference in January of 2018, assisting with registration and the Mr. & Mrs. Fish presentations. She has also become a contributing member to the Public Education and Young Professionals Committees. Danielle’s contributions to the recent Teacher Training day were invaluable.
Danielle graduated from Suffolk University with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Business; today she finds herself working as administrative coordinator for the MWRA. One of the highlights of her current role is working with students and organizing the annual poster & writing contest.
Danielle recommends to any NEWEA member, new or experienced, don’t be afraid to jump in and volunteer. Your efforts can make a difference, and this organization may seem large but it is really a nice and welcoming community. When Danielle is not working or volunteering you can find her enjoying water in the great outdoors. She enjoys boating on the Boston Harbor in summer as well as skiing and snow mobiling in Maine in the winter.
Thanks for your service Danielle!
