New SJWP LogoThese students will compete at the U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) national competition that will be held at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (UNCC), July 17-19.  They are also competing for the opportunity to win $10,000 and an all-expenses paid trip to Stockholm, Sweden to represent the U.S. at the SWJP international competition.

During the two-day national event, these New England students will have the opportunity to present their research to judges and water professionals from across the country, while experiencing a university setting. Participants of the national competition will be housed in dormitory accommodations, while mingling with like-minded students interested in water research, and making new life-long friends…a true college experience!

The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) is the world’s most prestigious youth award for a water-related science project. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today’s high school students as they seek to address current and future water challenges.
