NPR’s Heather Goldstone Named as NEWEA 2016 Spring Meeting Keynote Speaker

NEWEA is proud to announce that Heather Goldstone has been selected as the keynote speaker for the Joint NEWEA & NYWEA Spring Meeting & Exhibit, on June 5-8, 2016 in Groton, CT.

Ms. Goldstone is a science correspondent for WCAI, the Cape and Islands NPR Station and WGBH Radio, Boston’s NPR Station, and host of Living Lab, a weekly Heather Goldstonelive interview show about science and culture. She holds a Ph.D. in ocean science from M.I.T. and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and has spent a decade as an active researcher. Heather’s reporting about scientific and environmental issues on Cape Cod has appeared on NPR, PBS News Hour, The Takeaway, and PRI’s The World. In 2014, she was named WGBH’s Margret and Hans Rey/Curious George Producer for her wide-ranging curiosity in reporting. Most recently, Heather hosted the blog Climatide, an exploration of how climate change is impacting coastal life in the region.
