Joint Creating Resilient Infrastructure & Watersheds Conference & Exhibit

The NEWEA Watershed Management Committee, the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association (NE APWA) and New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) are pleased to announce a Joint Conference & Exhibit on on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the UMASS Lowell Inn & Conference Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The conference, “Creating Resilient Infrastructure & Watersheds: Strategies for Planning, Implementation & Funding” will be of interest to municipalities, utilities, watershed associations, state agencies and others that are responsible for transportation, water, sewer, stormwater and other infrastructure as our climate changes and sea levels rise.

Attendees will learn about planning strategies for climate resilience, approaches to implementation and available funding sources for private, municipal and state projects. Presentations and a panel discussion will review lessons learned during past extreme weather events and look forward toward planning and design solutions that will help make our communities and infrastructure more resilient to climate change.
