Meet NEWEA’s Registration Committee Chair, Kate Biedron

For many of us, Kate is the first friendly face that greets us when we arrive to register at our conferences.

Kate is a Project Manager and Registered Professional Engineer for CDM Smith and has worked in their Manchester, New Hampshire office for the last 10 years. She works in the world of Collection Systems on projects ranging from the design and construction of wastewater pipelines and pump stations to sewer system evaluation surveys and infiltration/inflow investigations.

Kate attended college at the University of Massachusetts where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the Amherst campus and her master’s degree at the Lowell campus.

Kate has been an active member of NEWEA since 2006, not only leading the Registration Committee, but also working closely with other committees in the Meeting Management Council and as a member of the Collection Systems Committee. She has found the networking aspect of NEWEA important to her personal and professional growth as she is able to connect with colleagues throughout our industry. Kate stresses the importance of our NEWEA Exhibitors. At each conference, she improves her skill set by meeting with exhibitors and learning about their latest products and their possible applications to her projects. Kate emphasizes her enjoyment collaborating with members of the NEWEA family and our collective dedication to good stewardship of our water environment.

Like most New Englanders, Kate enjoys spending her winters on the ski slopes and in the lodges of our New Hampshire and Vermont mountain resorts as well as soaking up the sunshine and good vibrations of our glorious New England summers along the beaches of the New Hampshire Seacoast.

Thank you Kate for all you do for NEWEA and for being one of our shining stars and future leaders!

Do you know a member that should be showcased in member newsletter? Pay it forward, as Elizabeth Cutone would say and write a profile about a NEWEA colleague. Send to ciardellig@nashuanh.gov
