World Water Monitoring Challenge

World Water Monitoring Challenge™ is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.

wwmd-logoSchool and civic groups from all over the world participate by testing the water quality in their local lakes, ponds, and streams. All results are posted on the WWMC website and participants can go online to see how their local water quality measures up to other parts of the world. For more information and to order test kits to keep, visit http://www.worldwatermonitoringday.org/.

The NEWEA Youth Education Committee and Massachusetts Water Resources Authority can loan out test kits for New England schools and civic groups. If interested, please contact the NEWEA office at 781-939-0908.
