Description: We are seeking an experienced wastewater consultant to join the compliance and treatment technologies staff at Triumvirate Environmental. This person will provide regulatory and technical assistance to our clients, working closely with our treatment technologies staff, to assist in further development of one of Triumvirate’s more dynamic and growing business units. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: • Provides regulatory compliance and technical assistance to our clients specific to wastewater treatment and discharge operations. • Provides assistance with the development of sampling plans, operation & maintenance manuals, slug control plans, and with NPDES permitting, and industrial pretreatment. • Participates with our environmental health & safety compliance advisors to conduct multi-media compliance audits. • Assists with development of service SOPs and conducts quality control evaluations of Triumvirate’s wastewater services • Is responsible for staying current with local, state and federal regulatory changes affecting wastewater dischargers • Participates in internal and external technical and regulatory training specific to wastewater operations and regulatory compliance Essential skills and knowledge requirements:: • Has knowledge and understanding of local, state and federal regulatory compliance requirements under the Clean Water Act for wastewater dischargers, including storm water from industrial and construction activities, industrial pretreatment, direct and indirect discharges, and discharges from site remedial activities • Understands the fundamentals of industrial wastewater treatment systems – equipment, components, operations & maintenance. • Interacts and communicates positively and effectively with regulatory agencies regarding wastewater permitting and compliance related matters. • Has ability to identify and work with clients to implement creative solutions to compliance issues of concern. • Can juggle multiple projects/tasks, manage projects effectively and efficiently, make smart decisions, react quickly and effectively to changing conditions, and develop practical ideas for dealing with these challenges. • Has strong project management skills, including client interaction, project tracking, and follow up • Has strong communication and people skills to work directly with clients, internal staff, and regulatory agencies • Has high level attention to detail, strong writing, and organizational skills Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in environmental-related discipline and wastewater operator’s license preferred • A minimum of 2 -3 years experience in a related field or industry • Working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations specific to the Clean Water Act • Experience with wastewater and storm water discharge permitting and compliance • Strong people skills and the ability to establish solid working relationships with staff and clients. • Strategic thinker who possesses strong communications and people skills. • Results-driven self-starter who is well equipped to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. • A strong desire to WOW! our clients with superior, above-and-beyond services.
