A National and International Science Competition for High School Students, SJWP is a prestigious competition to encourage research and understanding of water quality issues, both locally and worldwide.

Important dates: Submission for consideration at the State level by April 15th. State winners announced by April 30th each year. Must be chosen as a State winner to qualify for the National Competition.

The 2010 U.S. National Competition will be held in St. Louis, Missouri!

School groups and civic groups from all over the world participate by testing the water quality in their local lakes, ponds, and streams. All results are posted on the WWMD website and participants can go online to see how their local water quality measures up to other parts of the world!
