An undergraduate paper competition is held in conjunction with the Annual NEWEA Student Day. The student day is held annually in May at a local college in the New England area. Cash prizes are awarded to undergraduate students (2nd year and beyond) based on the strength of their written and oral presentation. The winner of the paper competition will receive a $500 cash prize plus travel to attend WEFTEC, a national meeting, to present the winning paper in a poster session. The winning paper will also be published in NEWEA's Journal and eligible to compete in WEF's national competition!
2011 STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION
Have you written a paper dealing with water pollution control, water quality problems, water‐related
concerns, hazardous waste, or related areas? Are you working on a class project, or a research project, and would like to present your findings? You are invited to submit a paper for the NEWEA Student Paper Competition hosted this year by Northeastern University. Undergraduates only!
Location: Egan Engineering/Science Research Center, Room 440 (Northeastern Campus)
Date: April 23rd, 2011 (papers due April 1)
Time: 1pm—5pm
