RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is commonly known as RSS feed or news feeds.  You may subscribe to RSS feeds as noted by this icon  on the NEWEA website.  An RSS subscription allows website users to  receive timely updates from favored websites into one place and stay informed.

You will also need to have an RSS reader (also called an aggregator) inorder to accept RSS feed.  RSS reader software can be downloaded or used through a browser.  The RSS reader searches your subscribed feeds regularly for new updates and displays them for you to read and use.

Each RSS reader has a slightly different way of adding a new feed, which may also be called a "channel." Follow the directions for your reader, but it usually works in one of two ways:

1. Click on the icon  to link to the feed you want.
2. Click on "Subscribe to this feed".
3. Select your RSS reader from the list that appears or select a folder.
4. If instead you see a page displaying XML code, copy the URL from the web address bar.
5. Paste the URL into the "add subscription" option in your feed reader.

Now when you open your RSS reader, the reader will populate with new information as it's available.  You will receive timely, up-to-date information on NEWEA events and deadlines.
