Make plans to join your colleagues April 2-5, 2012 in Providence, RI at the historic Biltmore Hotel for NOWRA’s 21st Annual Conference. The conference is being co-hosted by the Yankee Onsite Wastewater Association. It is also the location for the 4th Northeast Onsite Short Course, which had previously been hosted by the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission.
NOWRA’s 21st Annual Conference promises to be an outstanding event, and no matter what your onsite industry specialty is, you will find this conference to be valuable.
New England is home to many innovative wastewater management programs and organizations, and at the same time faces a host of challenges for both policymakers and professionals involved in wastewater management. Distributed wastewater management systems have been proven their effectiveness as an essential element of infrastructure. One focus of this conference is to demonstrate and document the elements of infrastructure embodied in distributed systems. In addition, presentations related to issues affecting wastewater management in New England, the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic (EPA regions 1-3) will be highlighted.
Conference Highlights:
- Three education tracks (1) The NOWRA A to Z course, (2) Management, policy and technical sessions related to onsite wastewater issues affecting the New England states, and (3) Other management, policy and technical sessions related to onsite wastewater management. While there will be a focus on New England, many, many of the issues facing that region can be found elsewhere across the country
- Extensive opportunities for networking with old friends and making new acquaintances
- Field trips to sites in Southern New England
- A trade fair showcasing many of the leading companies providing products and services to the onsite industry.
