The 5th Biennial Water For People Gala will be hosted by NEWEA and NEWWA on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the New England Aquarium in Boston. Please join us for a night of music, dancing, speakers, and fun.

An important aspect of young professional’s development in the water/wastewater (or any field for that matter) is to learn from more seasoned professionals. There is no better way to participate in this learning experience than by participating in the NEWEA Mentoring Day, offered on Tuesday, January 24 during the 2012 Annual Conference in Boston, MA.

The New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA), through its Awards Committee, has completed the year-long process of nomination, selection and promotion of the 2011 awards recipients.

New Hampshire’s Seacoast Sewer Snakes, Vermont’s VorTechs and Maine’s Force Maine recently competed amongst 23 division II teams in Los Angles, California at WEFTEC this past October.

The NEWEA Public Education Committee is proud to announce that NEWEA has been selected as host of the US competition of the 2012 Stockholm Junior Water Prize – the 2012 US competition is scheduled for June 14- 16, 2012 at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport, Boston, MA.

The Energy and Plant Operations Committees of the New England Water Environment Association are pleased to announce that a special Joint Energy and Plant Operations Specialty Conference & Exhibit will be held in Brattleboro, VT at the Latchis Hotel. The committees request abstracts covering the topics of energy and/or plant operations.

Make plans to join your colleagues April 2-5, 2012 in Providence, RI at the historic Biltmore Hotel for NOWRA’s 21st Annual Conference. The conference is being co-hosted by the Yankee Onsite Wastewater Association. It is also the location for the 4th Northeast Onsite Short Course, which had previously been hosted by the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission.
