As always, the NEWEA Annual Conference program is packed with technical content for our distinguished membership. NEWEA President Erin Mosley will preside over this year’s conference, expecting to draw 1800 water professionals.
This year’s program features 30 technical sessions with a wide range of topics that present practical applications, project experience, and lessons learned in all disciplines and areas of expertise in the wastewater field. The sessions are anticipated to be stronger than ever due to a record number of abstracts submitted.
At the opening session, you will hear from NEWEA’s own Jeanette Brown, WEF President Elect. The Keynote Speaker is Chris Swain, a nationally recognized water quality advocate currently swimming from Marblehead, MA to Washington, DC to raise water quality awareness. Chris will share his story and details of previous and current swimming and advocacy experiences.
Other conference highlights include Mr. & Mrs. Fish on Sunday and Monday. Monday will also feature the Young Professionals Program and a tour of the Union Park CSO facility in South Boston. Tuesday features the Poster Boards, and Wednesday hosts the Awards Ceremony.
The exhibit will feature more than 180 exhibitors eager to share valuable product information. Please drop by to see the products and services they have to offer in the new two-floor exhibit hall.
As many of you know, the host facility has recently undergone many changes. NEWEA is excited about these changes as they will allow for continued expansion of our conference and provide a contemporary setting for the exchange of ideas related to our industry. Some program changes include the addition of a second reception in the exhibit hall on Tuesday as well as a condensed Wednesday schedule and lunch in the exhibit hall on Wednesday.
As always, the Annual Conference is the biggest and best wastewater forum in New England to meet colleagues, make new friends, and exchange information.
